In a Seasonal Frame of Mind

Hello everyone, and welcome to the blog today.

I continue to putter around the house, fluffing this and that for this fall season. I do not have any large house projects at this time, but I have a couple of painting projects I am thinking about IF I can ever decide on paint colors.

I have a few pictures showing some of my small projects.

Laverne...

I was in my local JoAnn fabric store last week and ran across some Halloween specials.

I found these two cute crows on sale for about six dollars each...into my cart they went.

I had an idea of attaching them to a wreath...but I have not gotten that far. ha!  I have named them Laverne and Shirley, and adorned them with neck scarves so far. :-) The polka dot mesh ribbon is also from Joann Fabric.

Laverne and Shirley...

I tweaked the coffee table...and decided to play up my orange accessories before Thanksgiving takes over the house.

I especially love the humor of "Witches Fly at Night."

I have been busy making fall, Halloween, and Christmas graphics in my favorite program,  Canva.com. I use their free version.

Preview of Rustic Thanksgiving Accessories

The UPS man brought an order of Oriental Trading pretties. I will be creating a rustic Thanksgiving table using these, plus adding in some of my own things to create a fun table.

I especially love the OT mercury glass candlestick sets. I have some others, and have been building a collection of these for a grand display. I just love candles on my dining table.

In making my rustic Thanksgiving table I wanted to try these wood slabs. I have never used any...though they are so very popular these days. I tend to do dressy tables...so this will be a new twist for me to try. I thought that fall would be the perfect time.

Affiliate Links Disclosure: I am an Oriental Trading Brand Ambassador. This means that Oriental Trading provides me with products (that I select) in exchange for my using them in my blog posts. All ideas and reviews are mine.

I found the cutest little Halloween ornaments at Might Dollar (where everything really is one dollar) last week.  I will use them around the house somewhere. :-)

I have been working in the house getting ready for my Witches' Tea Party next week. My outfit. The house (cleaning.) The menu.

And of course I will share photos. :-)

Thanks for visiting...

  4. Lovely as usual. I have never seen the decorator items you get from Oriental Trading on their website or in a catalog. How do I find them ? Seems like they are missing a lot of sales.
    Thanks

  5. Hello Sheila, oh you have such a beautiful home. It always looks so nice and neat in your photos. Does your house ever get a little messy? Haha just kidding. I have not ordered anything from OT in ages not since my teen was little. I will have to maybe do some ordering for the holidays. I do love those wood slabs and they are all the rage right now. Take care and have a wonderful week.
