So Many Pretty Tables!

I have been all over pinterest and the internet in general looking at pretty table designs trying to decide what I want to do for our son's rehearsal dinner.

Simple and Elegant.

I shared a few days ago that I have had table decoration ideas swirling around in my head. I think I have made a decision.

Very creative and pretty!

I love the understated look of slim glass hurricanes and greenery. We will  have white tablecloths and plates...and I think the simple modern look will be easy.

I may not have quite as many hurricanes as below...but this is my inspiration pic.

My Inspiration Picture

I want to bring some color on board and may do like the photo below...with ribbon.

Love simple ribbon for a touch of color!
I need to decide between floating candles and pillars! Do you have any experience or suggestions to recommend either?

Floating Candles are pretty too.

I have found what seems to be a good source for both the candles and the hurricanes.... Quick Candles

Here are some pictures from the Quick Candles website. The reviews seem to be positive so I may be ordering my candles and hurricanes from them. They sell individually or in bulk.

Simple candles can create a casually elegant look. And that's what I want, casual elegance.

I love the twinkle of glass and flickering flames.

I can combine pillars and votives, then add some greenery down the middle of the long row of tables. This should work!

The Quick Candles website.

I enjoyed clicking around this website...and I have no affiliation. There are also napkin rings and tablecloths.

For some reason I want a pink tablecloth! I am easily distracted. ha ha. I love table accoutrements. Here are some links for you to browse if you wish. (no affiliation)

I ran across this pretty arrangement in bottles...Just Sharing. :-) I will save this idea for my next dinner tablescape.

How pretty is this from Uncommon Designs!

Until the next time...

  1. Sheila, I love those simple pillars too and the single pink tulip with pink ribbon is beautiful. What color is the bride using in the wedding ? Do they need to match? Word to the wise, there may be some people like me who are allergic to flowers and the smell of candles takes my breath away because I have asthma.
So many pretties online, so little money. Hard to stay focused LOL

  3. That is going to be beautiful!!! I can't wait to see what you do. IF you have a true Dollar store there (not like Dollar General or Family $ but the ones where everything is a $) you can pick those hurricanes up for $1. each. I bought several for an event I hosted a few years back and they look good and worked beautifully. Good luck...I know how exciting this time of life is for you!!! xo Diana

  4. My heart goes out to you...so many choices and so little time. It seems to me your home would be a heavenly place to host a rehearsal dinner, inside and out. Anything you pick for the table setting will be gorgeous. I LOVE all of your samples. I know having it at home could be troublesome but, I believe the right caterer will pull it off. I can't wait to see what you decide on, I'm sure it will be spectacular! All the best.

  6. Ooh, lots of pretties! Love the hurricanes and especially the idea of using a nice ribbon... Re: Miss Myrna's comments; hopefully there are no folks with allergies to flowers or candles. I am sensitive to overly strong artificial fragrances. Yes, whatever you pick will be lovely.

  8. I did the candles and greenery for big tables....$tree for the hurricanes, a nursery for the greenery (got lots of different kinds and mixed them all) and $tree battery operated candles..no scent, cheap and you can buy the batteries there as well, for 1$ per package.
It turned out beautiful! I also bought a couple of grocery store packages of babies breath, and just stuck it in here and there in the greenery...not too much, just an occasional highlight!
I love the pink you are showing, but the plain green and white is beautiful as well!!
    Good luck and have fun!
    Blessings,

  9. That's going to be so pretty! When my daughters wedding came around and she wanted some purple incorporated, I actually used Kool-Aid for colored water and the floating candles. It was so funyy when we saw her future MIL's face. t first sh thought we were nuts, doing this. But when the tables were done....they looked perfect. I am so excited to hear about this journey from your side. It's like re-living it :-)
