Tulips and Towels

Let me show you some new things around the house. Just little bits...but it's the details that make a house complete.

I was looking for some "real look" tulips a few weeks ago for an arrangement that I have "in my head."

I found these at Hobby Lobby, but they were the last four that they had. And...they were on sale the week before. :-(

I took these with the hopes of finding more. :-)

My next goody would be my monogrammed towels.

I purchased the towels last spring at Belk...but I am just now getting around to the monogramming. I am slow!

I am very pleased with the job that Magic Monogramms in Somerset Ky did for me.

I requested an extra large size to fill the middle of each towel when folded in thirds.  Everything about the job is perfect. They charged by the stitch...so with fat letters they cost a little bit more, but they make a great statement.

I was between a fishtale font and this round design.

Some letters do not go together well depending if you have wide or narrow letters. In this case my fat letters worked very well for this circle monogram.

I like the slightly oriental look.

I used to monogram everything...
and I think I might be headed back in that direction.

Wishing you a great week!

Thanks for Visiting,
Sheila

  3. The tulips are beautiful- isn't it amazing how realistic some of the artificial ones are these days! I do like the monogram you chose- especially how large it is!

  4. Beautiful towels, beautiful tulips! I love monograms. When I was in high school all my clothes were monogrammed. Even my Weejuns. There was a shoemaker that stamped this sides of the shoes in gold lettering. It was the rage. I am so dating myself!

  6. Sheila,
Those faux tulips are wonderful. I bet Hobby Lobby will restock them. Your monogrammed linens are beautiful... so classic.
