Furniture Browsing Field Trip

When I go to a nice furniture store I am like a kid in a candy store. There is so much visual eye candy...that I walk in circles to see everything.

I love this pottery! The style. The color. Oh la la.

I love pottery...and I have to use restraint, because I live in a smaller house and I have pottery still packed away. But I can oooh and aaah anyway.

If you watch Fixer Upper you are familiar with Chip and Joanna. This is their corner of the furniture store. Lots of neat pieces and accessories.

I wish I had a spot for an extra long table in my house.

This headboard reminds me of very old fashioned ones

I love mirrors and found two cute ones. The chevron and polka dot sections are burlap.

My mind immediately thinks about adding burlap trim to an old mirror. :-)

I found a huge farmhouse table with a distressed painted finish. Look at the size of the turned legs!

I love this hutch/cupboard combo. It would take a very large wall or room to accommodate it...but I have to tell you that I would love it. Imagine the shelf styling I could do! And the cookbook storage! Yes!

Oh what fun to browse!

Hello, I'm Sheila and my house is a giant art project! I enjoy creating an environment where my family can feel safe, secure, and loved. We are empty nesters learning to slow down and enjoy life.

  1. Sheila, I love that giant hutch and buffet. Imagine the blue and white Asian pottery you could put in there. A person can never have too much storage or dishes. There is no such thing as a kitchen that is too big either.
Penny's Vintage Home has a long built in buffet in her house that I like also.
BTW Did that giant cabinet have a price tag ?

    1. I did not look at the price tag. Sure it was huge! Someone bought it because ir was gone when I went back yesterday. I am looking for a new coffee table. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. I love Chip and Joanna's stuff too! One disappointment - the extra long table you featured? My friend went to buy it. The top is not wood. It's a laminate. I know that may not bother some, but it kind of ruined it for my friend (and me too!) Otherwise, I love their style. The blue pottery is so pretty! You used an amazing amount of restraint! Thanks for sharing!

    1. I would want solid wood too! That is a bummer. The pottery was gorgeous!

  3. I've never seen the Chip and Joana Gaines furniture at a store. The big long farm table is wonderful. I see someone mentioned the top is laminate. I imagine though that a family with kids might appreciate it since it wouldn't get scratched up easily. Those mirrors are cute and I like that huge hutch/cupboard unit. Lots of storage and display!

  4. Oh Sheila, I could spend days in that gorgeous store. Have a wonderful week.

  5. Wow...that is a huge hutch...and yes, lots of great room to style and stage!

  6. I would love to have the hutch. Like you said, the storage for all my cookbooks.

  7. I love shopping for furniture and accessories for the home! It is so much fun to dream, isn't it? Of course we can't buy much, as we all sound like we have too much already!
