A New Print Followed Me Home

I took my mother shopping one day last week.

She wanted to look for lamps and end tables for her new living room...as well as some pillows and such for the sofas and beds.

We stopped at one furniture store and there was a remodeling sale happening. There was a wall of prints that were 70% off. I was taking a look to see if there might be something mother could use in her guest bathroom.

Bingo. We found a print and then later found hand towels to coordinate with the colors in the print.

One day I will take my camera and take some pics to show you what we have been doing at my parents' house. Things are shaping up nicely.

You have probably figured out my story by now! Guilty!

While looking for things for my mother I happened upon a couple of prints that I liked.

I pulled them to the side to inspect them.

If you look at the colors in this colorful bird print you know why I brought it home.

Green!

Several shades of green!

Fortunately my print fit into the trunk of my little Volvo. Yay! It could really come home with me.

I was kind of expecting hubby to say..."Where are you going to put this bird of yours?" But he did not. (I already had a few places in mind when I bought it.)

I was not expecting him to like this colorful bird...but he does. Wow...good luck all the way around.

Hubby offered the real estate above my great grandmothers drop leaf table.

We have had one of his favorite historical soldier prints here since we moved in.

I was not sure about putting this inexpensive d├ęcor print where his collector print has been hanging. But I though ok, I will try it just to see how it looks in this spot.

The print is double matted with green and black mats. I have black lampshades.I put a black metal cachepot with some greenery under the print. It works!

As for hubby's soldier...we moved him over to the the opposite wall that has a gallery of prints that he has collected over the years. All is well. :-)

It has been a few days now and my bird is still hanging over Grandma Riggins old table.

Hubby is happy with where his soldier is hanging, to the left of his gallery. In fact that let him add yet another print to the gallery, on the right,  to balance out the one on the left. :-)

Mr. Fox is wondering when/if he will be moved...
