A Pretty New Toy

You all remember...we had Christmas a couple of weeks ago. :-)  Well, I want to share one of my gifts with you.

My sweet soon to be daughter-in-law found the most perfect gift for me.

She said that when she saw this she though it would be perfect for me. She has me figured out! I love love love my new gift toy.

Don't ask me where it came from...because I don't know. ha! This is one of the best tiered trays I have seen. Solid. Perfect style. Perfect color. Perfect size.

The metal is rubbed black...with gold undertones. You all know that is just perfect for my house. The little round beaded legs don't scratch my tabletops. Yay!

The box in which this came showed the wired baskets filled with fruit. I may do that at some point.

But right now...my brain is whirring with ideas for pretty fillers.  Ornaments for Christmas. Pretty eggs for Easter. Mason jars for beverages. Just imagine!

As you can see I filled the trays with greenery balls, pine cones, and lots of faux fruit for my first time playing. You will see this tiered tray quite often. I just need to get crafty!

I told this sweet girl that she picked out a great gift for her soon to be mother-in-law! And I told her that it would show up on the blog too. :-)

Ta da! Here is the whole tray. It is 29 inches tall, so it makes a great presentation. I am thinking of new ways to use it around the house.

Thank you B for this wonderful Christmas gift!

  4. Hi Sheila! Oh, this was a perfect gift for you and you've styled it just so pretty! I love these and need to find a tiered thingy! Via your comment on Instagram saying your little mother plays the piano, do you play too? I have to admit since I'm not a church pianist anymore, I don't play as much as I should. Hope you're having a good week.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  10. What a beautiful gift. There is so much you can do with a tiered-basket. Their uses are limitless. I have only a two tiered basket/tray because of the height of my counter and cabinets do not allow for a taller tier, but I do a lot with just the two. I love how you filled them with fruit, greenery and pine cones. It makes a lovely centerpiece for the table or any counter top.
