Simple Works Too!

How are your holiday decorating plans coming along? If you are like me you do this and that, moving from spot to spot around your house trying to make things look cozy and pretty.

I took apart an elaborate tablescape on my dining room table and needed to put something quick in its place. My dining room is in full view when the front door opens.

I put together a simple bowl of golden pine cones, and then added my Williamsburg brass candlesticks from the olden days.

To step up the candlesticks a notch I put these fun faux cedar mini wreathes/rings around them. I love these! I had some fall ones with pip berries that I used throughout the fall.

If you like these golden pine cones...use a can of mat gold spray paint and play around with natural pine cones.

I like the simplicity of this Williamsburg style centerpiece...especially as a respite from a larger, ornate one.

Are you all pulling out your old brass pieces again? I love that brass is back in style. Some of my brass is dull and some of it still has the protective coating.

Yes, simple works too!

Simple. Symmetry. Traditional.

I am still working on my Christmas tree.

We used to have a huge ten foot monster tree in the other house...and now with the smaller tree I am having to pick and choose which ornaments to use. I may have to come up with an ornament rotation system over the next few years. :-)

I am excited to share my Christmas home tour on Tuesday of this week. I hope you visit me, and the other creative bloggers in our group.

See you on Tuesday!
