A Quick and Easy Christmas Idea

Christmas is almost here...
and I am still playing around the house.
It's just so much fun!

Just a few little tweaks here and there.

I had a spur of the moment impulse to try something.

I do not think you need directions for this idea. :-)

I have seen others fill lanterns with ornaments...but this is my first go around.

I had several red glass ball ornaments that were not being used on the tree, and I wanted to use them. Red is my color this year!

Look how cute!

The before lanterns...just candles!
But the after...red, glowing red Christmas ornaments.

Lamplight really makes my red ornaments glow!
Why haven't I done this before?

I had to add red bows even though this arrangement is in the masculine tv/man room.
I will tie a bow on almost anything. :-)

Here you go!

I surprised myself with how great this looks.

Now...go fill your lanterns with some pretty ornaments...and put them next to a lamp.
Easy peasy.

If you do not have a lantern, fill a clear glass vase, or a large clear glass jar with colored ornaments.

It will look great!

  1. Cute idea! Hubs surely won't mind a bow or three, will he? xoxo

  2. Sheila,
The lanterns look great with the red ornaments and red bows. I've always like bows and have been known to add ribbons to my Christmas cards. Just use a hole punch to make a couple of holes at the spot I want a bow, and voilà, tie a ribbon onto the card. :)

How do you create your adorable seasonal sketches like the one with your signature and the two lanterns?

    Merry Christmas and Joyeux Noël,
    Judith
