Autumn Colors Tablescape

Won't you join me in the kitchen today for an autumn tablescape!

I am preparing a casual fall table for supper in the kitchen. Close friends get to eat in the kitchen! So, come on in and get comfortable.

We have a great view from our large kitchen windows, so we most often eat in the area just off of the kitchen when there is a small gathering.

This is the simplest fall table setting. I just pulled together a few things and now it is "fall" in my kitchen! The key word is "simple."

And here is my fun table! You all have seen everything before except for maybe the fall touches. What do you think? Remember, this is for a casual meal with friends. Nothing fancy.

What makes this an autumn table setting?

a pumpkin
a few fall leaves
 a few persimmon place mats
and fall colored berries around the candles

It does not take a lot of accessories to make a pretty table! Take a look at what I have done.

I use my Italian Countryside China and Oneida stainless steel for every season. Same with my green napkins...all year long.

With just a few items I turned my my kitchen table into an autumn tablescape. I love easy. And I don't like to spend cash every time I want to create a special table.

I mention this because I want you to know that it is not necessary to have a large checkbook or stacks of china and flatware to create pretty tables. Creativity is what you need.

I began with Dollar General placemats. Really. I know...fancy. ha ha. Color choice will determine how vibrant your table is. Some people like soft fall colors and others like the more vibrant fall colors.

I love persimmon and orange colors for fall.

My olive green napkins (Tuesday Morning) were perfect to blend in with my fall table. But then greens are like a neutral for me. I use these green napkins with lots of other colors too.

Traditional Oneida Sheraton flatware.

Now for the pretties...I added some decorative fall leaves and branches. Some of the leaves are the exact shade as the placemats.

I put a large faux pumpkin on top of my pile of leaves. How simple is this to do? While I used a faux pumpkin a large real pumpkin would be especially nice.

I have lots of small pumpkins, but for this table I chose to go with just one over sized faux one.

The colors are so warm and fallish. :-)
It's time for spiced tea and a plaid shawl.

My candlesticks show up all over the house...but since I found these berry candle rings that fit over the candles I have been using them in the back of the house. (Kitchen and great room.)

Here are some closeup photos. The berries just pop against my charcoal candles.

My table is set and ready for a casual fall Friday night supper.

How does a pasta casserole and salad sound?... with oldies playing in the background for ambiance?

It is really easy to create a theme table with just a few items. You all know that I prefer simple and are probably used to my more understated traditional style. That's just me.

It's almost time to eat! Let's get this party started!

Happy Fall Y'all!
