Quick and Easy Fruit Dip

I have been running in multiple directions this week, and with a grand visiting for a few days I have been busy with her. We have been beading, coloring, eating, going to the lake, and back to beading.

She has made quite a few bracelets...and has an idea to market them. I love her entrepreneur spirit!

One thing that our grand discovered is that she loves my "fluff" with fruit.  That's what we call this yummy mix of cream cheese and marshmallow cream.

In the category of "entertaining" this is a great recipe to try.

It's perfect for a party or afternoon snack, whenever you are serving fruit!

You only need two ingredients to make the amount of dip in the bowl above.

1. 1 box of room temp cream cheese...either full fat or less fat. Both work.
2. 1 jar of marshmallow cream

  • Put the ingredients into a bowl.
  • Mix until completely smooth using an electric hand mixer.
  • Put the dip in a sealed container, and refrigerate until firm.

The process of mixing will thin the dip a little bit, which is why you need to refrigerate before serving.

If the cream cheese is not at room temperature when mix the ingredients, your dip will be lumpy and you will have globs of cream cheese in your dip. You don't want lumps! :-)

(When I make my fruit dip I usually use two boxes of cream cheese and the large jar of marshmallow cream.)

So far...I have not found a fruit that does not taste yummy dipped in this yummy fluff. Strawberries and grapes are my personal choices. :-)

This dip can be used on formal buffets with crystal and silver fruit trays as well as afternoon plastic and paper plates. No matter...this is darn good stuff in my opinion. Healthy...well, you do dip fruit into it. ha! :-)

Whenever you serve fruit, a dollop of this dip will make it extra special.

Try mixing up some this weekend. I think you will like it.

Thanks for visiting!

Hello, I'm Sheila and my house is a giant art project! I enjoy creating an environment where my family can feel safe, secure, and loved. We are empty nesters learning to slow down and enjoy life.

  1. Sheila, This looks yummy and easy. Of course, it's healthy because of all the good fruit you eat with it...,right??

  2. Oh yum. My kids would LOVE that.

    1. Oh I think your kids would love this dip. My granddaughter could not get enough. Ha!

  3. I've taken this to parties and love it with apples too!

    1. I agree, apples are delicious with this dip.

  4. I make a dip very similar only I add a 1/2 cup of powdered sugar to it to make it firmer. My family loves it! I made some for our 4th of July celebration and it was gone before I was able to get some for myself!

    1. You may want to make some for yourself...and hide it. Ha! I may try the powdered sugar the next time. Thanks for the idea.

  5. I love this dip too with fruit. I'm glad you had fun with your grand!!

  6. The first time I had this dip (or one very similar), I worked in an elementary school. The teachers and support staff were always bringing in yummies. Yep, the fruit puts it in the healthy category! Enjoy the grand! Got a picture of my granddaughter in front of some ruins in Ephesus.

  7. I love fruit dip. This recipe looks so simple. I would love to have you join us at Family Joy Blog Link Up Party. Sunday- Wednesday. Check us out http://thinking-outside-the-pot.com/?p=2727
