All Because of a New Jar

Hey everyone...I hope you are warm and cozy. We had snow again, but nothing like what we had a few weeks ago. Whew!

I took advantage of today's cold and decided I needed to do some dusting. And when I grab a dust cloth it means that things are bound to get moved and changed.

Last week I found a chinoiserie jar on sale, and it came in yesterday. I now have a matching pair of jars.  Of course I had to play around with them.

Making a change one place means that things have to shift around. Take a look at what I did.

First of all I had to clear off the dining room table. I moved the monster arrangement into the sitting room. I have had it on my block front chest before.

And now to the dining room table...

Here you see my older chinoiserie jar plus a bowl that moves around from place to place.

I added my new matching jar to the vignette. So glad that I found the second jar.

I looked at the arrangement. I took a few pics.

Then I had another idea.

I decided to bring my third, and larger jar,  onto the scene. We can see our guests across the table with this arrangement. Plus the blue and white jars add color to the room.

I have cobalt blue dinner napkins that match chinoiserie blue jars nicely. Now, I need to create a blue and white table setting. Next on the list. :-)

If you remember I changed the china cabinet to all white...and I needed to bring some color back into the room.

I am just not so sure about all white here. If I had an open shelved hutch I think the white dishes would look better. You may be seeing a change in the china cabinet again too.

My three jars seem to be happy where they are. And I am happy with the color that they bring to the room.

I am leaning to bringing blues to the mama cave for spring. I will be looking for blue pillow covers, or pillows.

If I cannot find what I want I may have to look for fabric and bring out the sewing machine.

Shades of blue are very popular right now. And they range from a very light blue to dark cobalt and navy. My newest pottery barn catalog had so much navy in it.

I think this will be a blue spring.

Thanks for visiting.
