There are so many lovely ladies who featured my posts on their blogs in 2015. And I have to say that I love visiting their blogs and their blog parties each week.It is such fun to meet new ladies, and find new blogs.
I have been blessed to be encouraged by their, and your, recognizing so many of my posts. Thank you to everyone who clicked to look at my projects.
I was putting together a document of my featured posts in 2015 for my files, and then I decided I would just turn it into a post. I thought you might like to poke around and look at the pictures, and see what others though were "feature" worthy.
Here is a quick rundown of the posts that were featured. If you want to read that post just click the link under the picture that interests you.
Featured Posts 2015…
This is a picture of our great room leading up to Christmas Day. After that things were a bit messy. This is the room we "live"in.
I was so proud of myself for creating this easy bow. I can be all thumbs when it comes to making bows. But this one is easy!
I won this tiered try from The Dedicated House...and have used it in my kitchen since it arrived. It has been so much fun to decorate.
I found this table runner and it was the beginning of a fall table vignette on my kitchen table.
I have several wreaths that I use around the year...and this is my post Halloween, pre-Christmas wreath. This was a favorite with so many people. I made the burlap bow too.
This is our 2015 Christmas tree. I start with adding lots of pine stems to fill in my tree, then I begin decorating it.
I used my new tureen and some faux pumpkins to create some new fall vignettes.
As you all know, I love dishes and tablesettings. This post has several for inspiration.
To make the parlor/mama cave look like fall I brought in several pumpkins. Then I discovered that I love the pumpkin color with my blue and white pieces. Which goes to show that you just need to try some things to see if you like them.
Here is another table vignette...in my dining room. Again with the orange and blue/white. I love it. And lots of others did too. :-)
My kitchen has been evolving ever since we moved in and painted.
If I do say so myself, my sweet potato casserole is to die for. And it is so rich that you can only eat it a couple of times a year...Holidays! I had a reader tell me that she swapped out her old recipe for mine and everyone loved it. I like to hear success stories for sure.
I took a plain bedroom and gave it some style. This was a real favorite with everyone.
I created an inspiration post for those of us who love traditional style. Lots of ooohing and ahhhhing over the pics in this post.
I think lots of us went gaga over plaid this Christmas. I pulled together some of my plaids to see how they would work together. I like to create a pile of things to see how they look before I start any design. I think I learned this from watching old Candice Olsen shows. She would put bits and pieces in a basket to see how they looked together.
The master bedroom is such a hard room to take photos in but I had a pretty good photo shoot this time.
I like to decorate with my blue and white pieces at Christmas. I used a few simple ornaments.
I made a pretty spring door basket using stems I already had.
The parlor/mama cave was a work in progress for quite a while...but this past summer I managed to have my drapes remade for our new house windows...here is the reveal.
This is a picture of our Mikey, aka Designer Dog, who went to the rainbow bridge back in August. But before that I did a post about having dogs in and around the house. Our family, and extended family, loves goldens.
I kept my old brass and such, because I am a pack rat and cannot get rid of perfectly nice things. I am so glad that I did, because brass is back and I pulled out my old brass, and gold, accessories.
I picked up a gold washed metal bowl on sale at HL months ago. And since I cannot leave anything alone for very long, created various arrangements using this same bowl. Does that qualify as reuse and recycle?
Most of all I appreciate the opportunity of new people visiting my blog and striking up a friendship with me. The "home" blog circle has great people! And I truly have great readers!
My blog is mostly a hobby blog, though I do earn about a dollar a day in advertising. True. If you see an ad that interests you...just click on it. I make a few pennies toward my "old age" fund. :-)
Thanks for visiting!
