A Tureen Arrangement

Here I am, still playing with Christmas decorations! I just get these ideas and well, I start creating another something. Today it is a tureen arrangement because I saw the prettiest little ornament arrangement in an ironstone tureen.

Since I have a tureen I thought, hey, I should be able to recreate the look. Let's see!

My tureen is from the Thistlewood Farms collection at Painted Fox.
For my first go at recreating the pretty magazine version I went with some pine cone ornaments that I had on hand. You all know that I have a "thing" for pine cones in my decorating.

Next I added some real pine cones, with glitter. (I now have glitter all over my house! ha!)

The next version of the tureen arrangement  is closer to the original photograph.

What do you all think?

Pine cones or silver?

Some of the glass balls have little black velvet ribbons...a nice coordinating touch with the red, black, and white I am using this Christmas.

I  think I am favoring the silver glass balls.

Once I clean up the glitter on the tureen I think this arrangement will look fine...maybe in the kitchen, as it needs some Christmas sparkle.

It has been moved to the kitchen since I wrote this post.
