Work Those Baskets for Christmas Decorating

I did it again!
I made another arrangement in a basket.
But this one has twinkle lights.

I am a basket nut since way, way back...and have many baskets. I have some baskets that are over twenty years old...because I am a pack rat. ha! With the downsizing some baskets were given away, but the really special ones were kept.

I like to use regular household items in my Christmas decorating. Here is one of my baskets that I dolled up for Christmas. It is a super simple decoration but it adds lots of Christmas spirit to the house.

I began with a large rectangular Tommy Bahama basket.

To the basket I added long branches of pine. I simply stuck them into the basket. (No foam or anything.)

Then I added some wide ribbon that I picked up at Dollar General.

It is a wired faux burlap ribbon and I bought the last two rolls in my local store.

I wanted more! :-(

The last thing I did was add some battery operated mini led lights that hubby found at WalMart.

The wire is green and practically invisible in green foliage. They can be set to a steady glow or to an on/off blink. Fun!

Now I want to put twinkle lights on everything. ha!

The chairs that I recovered this summer are working great in the "mama cave" this Christmas. Look how that red bow pops against the white chair. Woohoo!

The mama cave is in the process of being "dolled up" too. I will do a big reveal later.

Thanks for visiting!
Now go out there and make something Christmas-y in a basket! :-)
