What I'm Reading

I am trying something new to share with you today.

I read articles all of the time and think, oh, I should share this with my blog readers. But then I forget about it. So, I am making an
effort to save the interesting things I read during the pass
them along to you. I hope you enjoy the tips and links. .

These links to websites, blogs, and articles caught my attention this week. When you have the time...sit down with a cup of coffee or tea and check out some or all of them.

I love the blessing of the hounds article in Kentucky Monthly magazine. And you can read about it here. The photos are so nice!

Kentucky Monthly is both a magazine and a blog. (I keep the blog link in my blogroll.) here is the link to sign up for their monthly newsletter.

KM has articles divided into categories. It is sort of like Southern Living, but for Kentucky. The link above will take you to the food category. I love both the online and print. I suggest you take a look at the website. If interested you can then subscribe to the print publication via the blog. I met Steven Vest, the editor,  at a Women's Club event and he is so nice, and tells/writes great stories too.

I was reading Old Things New Blog and she fills us in on Southern etiquette as told to her by a southern friend. Some good tips for everyone!

I have been reading Southern Living Thanksgiving Sides  too, as I think about the next holiday. I love to read cookbooks and recipes!

Christmas in Provence via One King's Lane made my heart flutter to be back in Aix-en-Provence for Christmas again. Lots of pretty things. I window shop and often see something similar to what I might have or see something I might be able to make. It's worth a few minutes to see several styling ideas too.

I took a peek at Benjamin Moore color trends here...BM 2016 color trends. I don't plan on any painting this year, except for maybe a bathroom. I like to know what is current/on trend in any event.

An email from House by JSD Designs in Lexington says that  they are ready for Christmas.

I subscribe to an online health newsletter and read various articles. This one, exercises you can do anywhere anytime, made me look!

But this one, Five Minute Workout, I might be able to really do.

Seven Foods High in Vitamin D  is important for people who work inside, who slather on sunblock, and/or who do not eat properly. The short article is worth reading.

If I do the workouts above maybe I could have one of these cookies.Everyday Health 100 calorie cookie recipes.

And my last recommendation is to read something by Rick Brag.

Rick Brag's Southern Journal  might be something you would like to read if you enjoy the back page of Southern Living Magazine. His stories are wonderful. Just google him if you want more info. I love his writing and find what he says about southerners to be comforting, and reassuring because we are all in this together. Enjoy.

Let me know if you like getting a rundown/highlights of my recent reading and I will continue to share.

I hope you find these links/articles to be interesting. :-)

In other news...I am thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas at the same time. ha! I am looking at Thanksgiving recipes while thinking of where my Christmas cookie cutters might be.

And...what should I do with this remnant of plaid fabric?!

I have so many activities and plans whirling in my brain right now! Where to start?

Thanks for Visiting.
And have a great weekend!
