Fall & Thanksgiving Table Ideas

I love to set a pretty table!

And this is the centerpiece that is usually found on my dining room table.

I love it, but it is too large to use when we are actually sitting at the dining room table. No one can see anyone! You can't have a meal like that!

I thought I would share a fall tablescape that I made.  One that can be used and still see the other people at the table. :-)

It goes through a few stages...but I think you will get some ideas to try on your table.

When I think of a fall or Thanksgiving table, I usually think simple. I don't know why. That is just the vibe  that I like to create.

For this arrangement I began with a gold table runner. The gold goes with my room and the season.

I grabbed a tureen and filled it with small faux pumpkins. If you do not have a tureen, then try a large white bowl, or basket.

I added a few silk leaves as I was creating.

The brass candlesticks are remnants of my living in a Georgian house. I love them, so I continue to use them. They are Williamsburg brass.

I love orange!

My arrangement needed some height, so I put a cake pedestal under the tureen.

I took away the brass candlesticks to try my green pottery candleholders.

I decided to try my pots of boxwood next. I have to tell you, those boxwoods were the best investment. I use them all over the house.

I like the boxwoods on this table setting.

Here are some fall looks that will work for sit down dinners...including Thanksgiving.

I had fun one afternoon creating these tablescape looks. I left this one on the table. Now I have to find another spot for "the monster" arrangement. ha.
