Fall Decorating: Make an Easy Mummy Pumpkin

This will be short and sweet, but I think you might like this for the Halloween season.

I recently ran across this photo of the mummy pumpkin that I made when I was working at the college library a couple of years ago.

Yes, I really made this! ha.

Our library director brought in a real pumpkin and I wanted to do something creative with it.

I went to the local drug store and bought a box of gauze.

I made some eyes and teeth using plain construction paper, and glued them onto Mr. Pumpkin.

The final task was to wrap the pumpkin in gauze. Ta Da!

He sat on the circulation desk to amuse students, faculty, and staff for the season.

I added the spooky border to this picture using a photo editing program.

Sadly, I cannot remember the name of that program I used a few years ago.

Imagine that! ha!

If I think of it...I will insert it here.

If you have kids in and out of your house they might like to make an easy Mummy Pumpkin too.

Here are a few posts from earlier in October in case you missed them.

Thanks for visiting.
