Fall Decorating: Pumpkins in the Parlor

Cozy Little House, Tweak it Tuesday

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a great fall day!

The weather in Kentucky has been absolutely beautiful the last few days. Perfect fall days....

The leaves are slowly disappearing from the trees. That's one part of fall that makes me sad.

We live in a wooded area...and the trees are so much a part of our ambiance.

I've been slow bringing fall into the front of the house. But I've done a little.  A very little. ha! But that counts, right!

I have seen others put their fall oranges with blue and white china...so I thought I would give it a try too. Pinky, (@Designs by Pinky) I am thinking of you!

I added three faux mini pumpkins to my blue and white collection.

After I added the orange pumpkins to the vignette I noticed the burnt orange colors in the two plates to the right.

And then I noticed the shades of orange in the painting. (see below)

I prefer real pumpkins, but I don't like to put them on my good wood.

And besides...I already had these faux ones.

I thought about painting my orange pumpkins shades of white...but I have not gotten around to that bit of creativity. ha!

I am just playing with my camera now, and trying to get some creative images. ha!

I have as much fun playing with my camera as I do making pretty tablescapes.

I reduced the image size a bit so that they would load quickly. I hope that they do!

Orange really pops against the blue! I like it.

These three small orange pumpkins sure added a pop of fall to the parlor. Simple. But fall looking.

Here is a quick look at something I am working on. I will show you the finished project in a couple of days.
(I found these cute little felted pumpkins at TJ Maxx and Marshalls...and they are so much fun to play with.) I thought I would throw this tease out there.

Thanks for Visiting!
