Another Chair Makeover

Fabricut Upholstery
I thought I would try something different with my Martha Washington Chairs. They are so, so traditional. I wanted to try another look. I wanted to try a more modern fabric style on my oh so traditional chairs. They were previously covered in a hunter green moiré fabric from twenty years ago. (I also had hunter green grass cloth in hubby's study. Those were the days, the eighties and nineties.)
Fabricut Upholstery
This fabric is considered a chenille jacquard. It is heavy upholstery weight. The background is called "natural" and the chenille grid is called gold. The lighting in my photographs makes the colors look different.

I stepped outside of my comfort zone a little putting this fabric on these chairs. But something kept nudging me to give it a try. I know it looks different...but I like this geometric on my reproduction chairs. It makes them more fun...and maybe a little bit trendy. Fortunately, if I want to change the fabric sooner...we are not talking about that many yards.
I usually play it safe with fabrics, but this time I tried something different. I like it.
Chair Makeover
I already had a couple of gold silk pillows, so I tossed them in the host and hostess chairs. They add a little something.
This is fairly accurate color on my screen, a dark gold chenille.
I love the texture that this fabric has.

The window light has washed out the color in these two pictures. The lighting at different times of a day changes colors so much. The dining and small living room/mama cave get afternoon light. I took these pics in the morning light.

Chair Makeover
I have one more decision for the dining room. And that is to decide whether to put the older black/gold wool rug in here when it comes back from being cleaned. That rug is about a foot smaller all the way around than the navy rug.

I will think about the rug situation.
What do you all think? Decisions. Decisions. ha!

Some have asked me about fabric info. Fabricut/Trend. Item number below. Available from lots of places online. My source, Creative Interiors, Bowling Green KY is best price I have found.
