This fabric is considered a chenille jacquard. It is heavy upholstery weight. The background is called "natural" and the chenille grid is called gold. The lighting in my photographs makes the colors look different.
I stepped outside of my comfort zone a little putting this fabric on these chairs. But something kept nudging me to give it a try. I know it looks different...but I like this geometric on my reproduction chairs. It makes them more fun...and maybe a little bit trendy. Fortunately, if I want to change the fabric sooner...we are not talking about that many yards.
I usually play it safe with fabrics, but this time I tried something different. I like it.
I already had a couple of gold silk pillows, so I tossed them in the host and hostess chairs. They add a little something.
This is fairly accurate color on my screen, a dark gold chenille.
I love the texture that this fabric has.
The window light has washed out the color in these two pictures. The lighting at different times of a day changes colors so much. The dining and small living room/mama cave get afternoon light. I took these pics in the morning light.
I have one more decision for the dining room. And that is to decide whether to put the older black/gold wool rug in here when it comes back from being cleaned. That rug is about a foot smaller all the way around than the navy rug.
I will think about the rug situation.
What do you all think? Decisions. Decisions. ha!
