Traditional Design Details: King Charles Spaniels

May 13, 2015

I am still working on the design details of the parlor. I decided to add a couple of spaniels to the coffee table for a traditional touch. Mikey sniffed them...then walked away.  :-)
Yes I am silly.
I tend to name any animal figurines.
Victoria is the smaller of the King Charles spaniels,
while Albert is the larger.
Room accessories are as important to a design as jewelry is to an outfit. I am always trying new combinations in my rooms...and outfits.

I am still tweaking the mama cave with things here and there. It is fun to create new designs...then step back and think why didn't I think of that before.

I think of bringing accessories into a room as "fluffing."  The fluffing process can take time...especially if you have to shop for items. If you can shop your own house...it can happen faster.
The mama cave is my name for the "feminine" sitting room/parlor located at the entry to our home.
It is my room for the most part!
No one else really wants to "hang out" in there with me. ha!

Leather, books, historical prints, and the television reside in the more masculine great room.
Victoria and Albert are reproduction Staffordshire figurines that contribute to the English/Southern traditional design flavor that I like.
Victoria appears to be wearing eye liner...compared to Albert.

This is the newest table vignette for the parlor coffee table
But who knows what I will have there next week?
I move things around quite a bit. :-)

Thanks for visiting.
